I have tapped a few kegs but have never had this happen and to say the least right now,I'm unsure!
I just put on a sixtel of Long trail double bag ,tapped a pint, took a sip and came up with a chuck of something in my mouth. Lines where cleaned and it kind of resembled half a small hop. Is that possible?
I have never seen or heard of that before.
    Anybody?

Do you disassemble and clean your faucet when you clean the lines?

Can you describe the appearance and size of what you're saying looks like half a small hop?

I am not surprised, it is possible something made it into the keg. rare but not impossible.

remember that most all small breweries are just that, small. even the bigger craft brewers, the Stone Lagunitas Ithaca Victory etc., these are just a bunch of guys running fancy equipment.

if something tiny makes it into the keg, yeah, nobody will notice. be happy it didn't clog your works.
double check your faucets for snot while you're at it. disassemble the mechanism. running cleaner through the faucet is required, but you do need to degrease once in a while too.
    Cheers.
