    hey all,

i'll be passing through pittsburgh in a couple of months and am not sure i'll be bale to have a meal or even a session at this place, but their brews intrigue me.

what do they sell in a bottle to go?
i'm really interested in the cherry quad and the trippel, but if there's something else you believe to be can't miss, i'd pick it up too

Pretty sure they have their Thunderhop IPA and Pipe Organ Pale in bottles. They probably have more, though, because there's a decent amount of other beers on here with reviews of bottles. They even have those stupid like mini keg things.

I will say this though, the place is cool as hell in the old church and all. It's worth a stop for that alone. However, I'd say the beer is very very forgettable.

I thought the beer was fine although the Cherry Quad wasn't bad. The pizza was tasty enough but, yeah, go for the architecture. Worth a visit for that alone.

I'm much more intrigued by East End beers when I'm in Pittsburgh.

Roundabout was pretty good as was the beer at Fatheads. East End wasn't bad but partially I was too rushed since I got there late. But really Church is still a good place to stop.

As people have alluded to above, if you want to stop in Pittsburgh and get the best beer possible, go to Fathead's or Roundabout.

But, Church still seems like a pretty cool place to stop.

You've just described the overwhelming majority of the Pittsburgh brewing scene.

Its a cool place, and is worth visiting - but not for the beer. The beer is just average and the food is ok.

You have to decide if you want a "beer" stop, or if you want a "sightseeing" stop. Church brew isn't a "beer" stop
