I'm thinking of flying down this year, meeting some BA friends and hitting a few places but mainly showing for the Churchill Anny. Any dates on this yet? I saw last years date of March 2nd but want to be sure before I start booking very early.

Is this typically and elbows and assholes shitshow with bookoo lines and waiting for everything? What are your thoughts and experiences?

Any other local events I am missing around that timeframe?

    Thanks-
    Josh

This year was a shitshow, and I am sure it will be next year too. Don't waste your time waiting in line - just show up at night when almost everything is still on tap and just buy a bottle of CFH for on site consumption. If you really want bottles to go, you are probably going to have to camp overnight.

Show up later in the day, enjoy great beers, and then drink some Older Viscosity.

First Saturday in March, every year. The pub owner has indicated that he will "do something different" next year and "can't have a repeat of that." I'm not holding my breath, however.

Yeah, let's see what Ivan comes up with for next year. He only sells, what, 360 bottles to 180 people?
Not worth it to get BPT or similar involved.
I am NOT getting up at 3AM next year.

This year was a great mixture of breakfast burritos, line cutting, weed smoking, cornhole, butthurt, and defeat.

Is this true in bottles, too? Aren't Older bottles usually flat while CFH bottles are usually carbonated?

You won't be getting any bottles if you get up at 3AM next year...cut-off time for bottles is going to be 8pm the night before...

I think he should just randomly hand out bottles during the entire day.

True, I always forget about line cutting...since I don't practice that habit...

He should just do a lottery, proceeds go to charity or some shit.

Not my '11s or '13s. And hasn't 1/4 of every single CFH release of all time been infected?

First release was the only a 2 barrel release, so no. 2/13 of all time, and those were only the bottles and not the kegs, so less than that.

I hope he does what O'Brien's does for special events. Must sign up in person at the bar, cash only, starting about a month a head of time in the middle of the week, and only give about 48 hours notice. This will help locals out who are they most of the time.

Churchill's Finest Hour should be on-site only. No to-go bottles, period.
