I was wondering, what it takes to land a bottle of Churchill's Finest Hour 2012 and/or 2011? I read somewhere that the bottles were really limited (<500), so I would assume it is bordering on whale territory.

    Any help much appreciated.

    Cheers

I have failed, and I have put up the most harpoon quality beers I have. Thinking it is def. at least a grey wale.

Would you mind giving a few examples of the beers that have failed to get it done?

Can't remember exactly, basically my gots list didn't get it done, CL CdC and Rosso, MOAS, Super Kitty, Regular lineup Cantillons, Luscious, Brute, LeBleu, stuff that usually gets other good stuff didn't get Churchill's. That said, I gave up quicker than I normally do, and I trade $4$. Good luck.

I traded a Vanilla Goose and an Adam from the Wood for one. Hope this helps and good luck in your search.

Bottle count for take-out was ~350 bottles or so. Certainly is hard to land, and the '12 was wonderful. I never had previous years but this one is supposedly better than other vintages so it might take more to get. I got one from a regular trading partner so I can't give specifics what would get it done. Although I did see someone land a Rare for their CFH '12 recently.

I think there were actually only ~270 bottles that left the building with a 2xbottle allocation.

I've seen it trade for Czar Jack, Hill Farmstead Damon, and Rare. Basically, bottles of similar count, in the same style, and highly rated.

That being said, I'm surprised that it trades for so much considering it's available year round at Churchill's in San Diego for on-site consumption. They currently have bottles of 2011 and 2012. May need to schedule a trip to San Diego in the near future....

It was more than 270. Around 350 has been confirmed multiple times on here from what I've read.

Also, why would you be surprised it trades for so much? On site consumption aside, there's so few bottles that can leave the pub for trade. How many they have on site has nothing to do with it.

You're right, I've seen 360 in a few places. For some reason I had that other number stuck in my head. Thanks.

I did a big trade with lots of big stouts, and the trade centered around me sending a rare and recieving a churchills 12. After tasting the churchills 12, I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Traded a CR for one last week. She's so purdy

How much did a bottle cost?

    Is 2x Beat5 = 1x CFH?

Yeah, and why does Crianza Helena trade for so much? It's available year round at De Hereen van Leidekercke for on-site consumption.
