Cigar City At it again

    Cigar City Brewing
    Welp! That's a lot of bourbon barrels. 20 to be exact. We plan to add some beer to these guys. Most likely something we just brewed...?​

    They have just brewed Big Sound and Good Gourd. Wonder whats going in these.

    Good Gourd! I bet those barrels made a Big Sound when they were dropped off!

    They said it was something they JUST brewed. They just started MZ this week and should be ready first week in Sept. Big Sound and Good Gourd are being bottled this week soooooo. We shall see.

    Haven't heard, but Fruit in the Room is in Sept. this year.

    I guess I am in the minority, but I would prefer for it to be Big Sound. I have always preferred Zhukov and Hunahpu sans barrel aging. On the other hand, Bourbon Barrel aging Big Sound makes a great beer stellar. Just my 2 cents.

    BBA Big Sound is one of my favorites -- I'll be happy with whatever they put in there.

    Right, they just brewed MZ, so it's in the lineup(and likely half of the barrels or more). The barrels can wait until MZ is done fermenting, nbd.

    I must say that I hope a good few of them are Big Sound, though. Good stuff there.

    I had a chance to drink some 2009 bourbon BA big sound about 2 months ago and it was one of the best beers I've ever had.

    Bourbon Barrel Aged Zhukov. Cant wait to get ahold of a couple bottles of that! Who's interested in setting up a pretrade :wink:

    I thought they already had some 2011 Zhukov aging the last time I was in there, a batch that hasn't been bottled yet as far as I know. However, I'd venture to guess they'd throw more Zhukov into at least one of these barrels. It only makes sense.

    I hope it's Big Sound as well, that's the best barrel-aged beer from CCB.

    it was packed which wasn't much of a problem until the rain came down and the bathroom line was painful. The beers were great. I remember the puppy' breath coconut porter being one of my favorties
