Why have all the Cigar City Brewpub beers been moved to the Cigar City brewing page? This use to two separate lists. The Brewpub, while owned by the same person, has a different head brewer who does his own thing. The beers brewed at the brewpub are brewed only there.

Isn't that the same for other breweries like your local Funky Buddha? Excuse my ignorance if it's not. They just told me each place has a different lineup. Do both places brew? Did they used to separate them when looking under breweries on BA before? Confused. I can see why you would want them separated if they both have different head brewers as to acknowledge each brewers beer but do they do that for other breweries on BA or are you just talking about on the Cigar City webpage? Was there two of them?

Didn't fully follow you. But, yes...previously the Cigar City Brewpub and Cigar City Brewing were two separate pages on BA with distinct beer listings. It's not just that each location has it's own head brewer, it is also that they brew different beers. The beers brewed at the brewpub are only brewed there. While the brewpub also serves beers brewed at the Brewery (like jai also), they do their own thing. Bottles, can, and growlers from the brewpub are all label as Cigar City Brewpub

Interesting... I didn't know there were different BA pages for the brewpub and the main brewery. Nor did I know everything wasn't brewed at the site where Huna was held. So if I buy Florida Cracker at the brewpub and also at a store they will be labeled as being brewed at brewery vs brewpub? I would see a difference on the can?

That's weird...there are a few CCB beer listings that I'm pretty sure should be merged but this seems odd.

No, Florida Cracker is Cigar City Brewery. It's all brewed at the "brewery"

The brewpub has it's own brewing facility that brews its own lineup... beers like Mud Hill Stout which are only made at the brewpub facility.

I guess I must be mistaking the brewery (where Huna Day is) for the brewpub (in the airport or somewhere else). In any case, thanks for clearing my misunderstanding up.

For companies that have multiple locations that brew, we setup a master location that holds all beer listings for the company. We do this for numerous reasons, the main reason being to avoid duplicate entries. It's been this way for well-over a decade.

Recently we've made some slight adjustments to the master location functionality and we've been applying it retroactively and to listings that required one. Cigar City was one of these companies slated to have their beer listings merged, and it occurred the other week.
