Big news! Cigar City Brewpub has set-up shop as a little Corner Café in our tasting room. That's right, food is now available! The Corner Café serves up delicious sandwiches, soups and some cookies, too! The Corner Café is open from 11am-6pm Mondays-Thursdays and 11am-5pm on Fridays. Closed on the weekends and Friday night because we still will have food trucks here those times. Let's eat! Please note that the Corner Café will be handling all of their own sales, so El Catador Club discounts are not accepted there.
Thats amazing. Stopped at the brewpub for the first time and had the best Cuban sandwich I've ever had. Glad they'll be a little easier to grab now.
Great news! I also want to go on record saying that I've been impressed by the brewpub's food. I know it got some flack when it first opened and it doesn't have the most stellar reviews on some of the restaurant review websites, but I think they make a quality product. If anyone has been on the fence about trying them out, I think you should give them a shot.
I've been doing the Brewpub at least weekly for a few months now. My daughter absolutely loved the weekend chocolate chip pancake platter that coincided with the special cellar releases. To their credit the Brewpub team is listening to the feedback and are tweaking the menu and trying new things. There are some darn good items on the menu right now. I could devour a few bowls of the chicharrones on each visit. Service is getting better and is certainly more consistent. Bob, Baye and the team are doing a great job...
Has business picked up any? I've been once for Sunday brunch and it was like a ghost town in there. From a few others I've talked to its been fairly quiet there. Are they brewing on site yet?
I think business has picked up overall but I'll temper that by saying that many of my visits have been when they were releasing the vintage cellar brews and that clearly brought more people in the door. As for brewing, they are brewing their own beers and a few craft sodas too.
This is awesome news, even better for those of us to like to stop by for Growler Tuesdays on our lunch break.... Now we can eat while we wait!
Vegetarian Cuban is on the menu by the way for other low-meat people out there (let the post-shitting begin).
Im a vegetarian and I like to apply logic to my food choices. You are what you eat Cows, pigs, and chickens eat vegetables Vegetarians only eat vegetables If cows, pigs, and chickens eat vegetables and you are what you eat, then cows, pigs, and chickens are vegetables If I eat cows, pigs and chicken and cows, pigs, and chickens are vegetables then I am only eating vegetables Since I only eat vegetables then I must be a vegetarian Q.E.D. The logic is sound
