I got a few bottles of cucumber saison last summer, and really did not like the beer. To me it tasted more like pickle saison. Anyway, I have some bottles left and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with them aging. How are they drinking now? I'm hoping some of the flavors I did not particularly enjoy will be more muted by now...

Typically, those flavors you disliked will be more pronounced. More age=more pickle, unfortunately.

There might be a food pairing that this one might go with but I can't find it. Not for me.

I've had this beer very fresh (i.e. the same day it was bottled) and with some age on it (about 6 months). I do not like cucumbers so I generally speaking don't like the beer. As it sits the cucumber flavor starts to get very cardboardy to me. IMO not worth sitting on at all.

^This! Had a bottle with some age about two weeks ago and it was a lot more pickle and a lot less cucumber.

Damn, well it looks like I'm stuck with pickle sauce. I guess I'll just have go all Jaques Cousteau on this beer and test the limits of my exploratory palette. Thank for the input!
