Just a question about their pumpkin beers. I know good gourd is released this month, but what about the Good Gourd Almighty? Is that hard to get? Is it bottled? what kind of stuff would it take for me to land a bottle of each? Thanks for the help
Good Gourd Almighty was an El Catador Club release from last year. The only time (to my knowledge) that it has been released in bottles was for the first round of El Catador. Some extra bottles were sold to the public on Hunahpu Day this past March. So if you are trying to get a bottle, you'd need to find an El Catador Club member that still has bottles from October of last year or find someone that bought a bottle in March. Its limited but not impossible to get.
I traded recently for a Good Gourd Almighty and Forgotten Island. Went $4$ at $25/bottle with some Wicked Weed sours. Maybe this helps a little?
I've still got a GGA (not for trade) but I'd argue it was the second best brew of El Catador 1.0 behind DB Huna.
I would think maybe some Jack's Abby should land some, right? Not really sure how easy that is to get in your area.
No way...for me it was: DB Huna, Amplitude, Illuminating the Path, and then Good Gourd Almighty. And I loved GGA...but I thought El Catador 1.0 was amazing. Not sure if there would be many takers for this. GGA was pretty limited and could end up being a one-off or only a every few years release.
Im gonna throw something up now and see if I get any bites. Ill let you guys know if and how I land one. Thanks for the tips
I didn't count Amplitude since it was an extra that not everyone got. If included #2 sounds about right. ITP and Don Gavino didn't do it at all for me. Not my style...
I loved ITP...but I sat on it till mid-February so that might have changed things. I'd like to opportunity to try Don Gavino again now that I am into sours
