Cigar City in NOVA?

I very highly doubt DC will be getting it outside of how they normally get it, which is through the beer baron laws.

The Cigar City distributor in Florida also owns a distributorship in Virginia (Richmond, to be specific). Every so often Cigar City has made its way up to Richmond. Apparently, CC has made enough Jai Alai cans to throw NoVA a bone.

It sounds like there will be limited shipments of Jai Alai in cans, for now. There's no shot that Cigar City makes enough to keep up with demand up here. So I'd get it while you can.

 

I agree -- even though Cigar City said there will be regular shipments of Jai Alai to Richmond and NoVA. It's just hard to believe that. Whole Foods Fairfax will have it tomorrow. I imagine Total Wines will too.

 

Anyone know if this is currently in stock anywhere in Northern Virginia? I'd like to pick up a case, or as much as they'll allow me to buy. This stuff is so, so good.

 

My buddy ran over to TW McLean yesterday and we split a case. They had a stack of 25 cases, no limits, as of yesterday afternoon. Not sure how much is left now. Norm's only had a single 6-pack left as of yesterday when I called. There was a mountain of it (I think 60 cases) yesterday at the Whole Foods in Fairfax according to their FB page. Hope that helps.

 

Readily available at TW's in NoVA. I hope it isn't a one time thing but I would not bet on it.

Thanks. I went to the Total in McLean around lunchtime and picked up a case. I'd say they had more than a dozen cases sitting out, right next to the tasting stand.

Norm's was out but should be getting more today.

 

WF Fairfax shared a picture of a pallet (on FB) of the stuff yesterday. 72 cases to be clear.

 

Is this stuff still readily available in Northern Virginia? I'm about ready to pick up some more, if I can find it.

 

I saw it yesterday at the WF in Fairfax and at the Mclean Total Wine. This is the second time both have stocked it this year, so I think it is hear to stay. Have only seen regular Jai Alai so far, but have been able to get as much as I want whenever I want. Good luck!

 

Virginia is only getting Jai Alai for now (and only in cans). Other beers may make it later.

 

maybe for NoVA, distributor says RVA should have Hopped on High Seas and Florida Cracker next week
