Life is like is a tough beer to nail down because it goes for whatever people are seeking that is equally rare and delicious. It isn't like DB Huna where there are verified trades you can go off of. I can tell you there is nothing on your list that I would trade for one of my bottles. Sorry couldn't be more help.

 

with it only being 8 months after being released, it seems to be getting harder and harder to land one. it woudl take either a very nice beer that ive been wanting to try for a while, or take a huge quantity of beerto land one.

The 3 bottles I left on your list should be able to land LIL 1:1 easily. If you have any Fou Foune ft, that should grab it 1:1 easily too. Just try again with those few bottles and I'm sure you'll get it.

 

I traded mine for some crooked stave reserve bottles.

 

Wish I had more to trade. I wasn't enamored at all with that beer like many others were. I gave my extras away to friends.

Isn't that bottle a nip bottle? Even as rare and old school as that beer is, it seems tough to give up 750 mL of deliciousness for 180 mL.

 

I didn't mean 1:1 necessarily, but that should at least start a conversation. Shoring up for oz4oz after that is just semantics.

 

Agreed, and I think a few of OPs offers were very fair. Problem is that the rarity factor is making this one massively overvalued for what it is, on top of the fact that us Florida folks so rarely have first access to highly desirable limited one-offs with such small bottle counts. Hunahpu for example is a much better beer IMO, but is so much easier to obtain given the number of bottles.

My advice: if you can get it done for what you've already offered, great, but don't go giving away your cellar. You'll be disappointed.

 

I have 2 bottles and willing to possibly part with 1 bottle if your friend meets in person. I don't ship beer.

 

I did 1:1 with VSB a week after the LiL release, and two weeks after the NG release. Honestly thought I won the trade, $8 vs $20 so I tossed in some extras to even it out. I can say both sides were happy receiving what would soon become instawhales.

 

Would that friend happen to be Jeffo? I'm gonna try to track one down too for him once my friend brings me down some limited RR stuff at the end of the month. Hopefully jeffo ends up with 2 LIL. If not I'm sure he'll still be happy if one of us can land it for him. .

 

When it was first released I was getting 4:1 trading for Pipeworks and FFF

 

From what I hear, the cherry flavor is starting to mellow out a bit. This might not be a beer you'd want to cellar for very long, but I could be wrong. I have exactly one of them and i'm going to crack it open sometime this year.

 

The cherry sweetness is what I didn't like about the beer. I would probably enjoy it more right now, but it was too sweet for me so I traded them away.

 

hadnt had one in a couple months but when i had it on my bday (jan 31st), it was still as good as ever. will be interested to see how this one holds up. it was my favorite beer of 2013.
