Hey all, I know there have been numerous threads in the past about this sort of thing, so I hope you all will forgive me for asking. My wife is visiting Cincinnati this weekend and it would be awesome if I could get her to pick up some White Rajah or Head Hunter while there. I know about most of the the good spots (Jungle Jim's, Hyde Park, Party Town, etc), but am just wondering if anyone knows right off hand what might be the best choice for those beers this weekend? She is probably not going to have time to check more than one shop. Thanks for the help! Cheers!

They always seem to have Head Hunter at Jungle Jim's (both the Fairfield and Eastgate locations). White Rajah is there once in a while (I was at Eastgate last week and I don't remember seeing any, but they did have plenty of 5-day-old Head Hunter  ). You might also pick up some MadTree PsycHOPathy IPA if you can't find either of the other two. It's brewed locally and is pretty good.

There is no Head Hunter or White Rajah to be found in Kentucky (no distribution there yet), so Party Town and Party Source won't have those, but they will have other things you can't get in Ohio (like Prairie). Party Source (in Bellevue, KY - just over the bridge from Cincy) just finished redesigning their craft beer section. It is freaking awesome. Lots and lots of choices you can't get anywhere else.

If you're only going to one store and you must have Head Hunter or White Rajah - I'd suggest Jungle Jim's. You should have no trouble getting Head Hunter and you might get lucky and find some White Rajah that just arrived. Worst case - you can get PsycHOPathy or perhaps some West 6th IPA.

Funny you mention that brewery. She got me a sixer of the Roebling porter last time she went there - she just chose it randomly. It was okay, but kinda reminded me of Porter soda. Super fizzy! So, is this lambic widely available? I love sours and would really like to try that one!

it was fairly easy to find when i was there in june. They make a few variants of it, and all of them are awesome.

Ojos Negros (Rivertown's sour ale aged on blackberries) is also widely available right now. Definitely worth picking up if you like sours.

Well, she went to Jungle Jim's and they were out of Head Hunter, per the store associate. However, after I sent her a picture of the label, she noticed that it was available in singles (apparently they were out of the 4 packs). She managed to get me 5 bottles and a Moloko bomber as well! Great haul, as far as I am concerned. She was unable to locate any of the Rivertown Lambic, and I am not sure about the Ojos Negros, but that sounds awesome! Thanks again, everyone.

    Cheers!
