Just wondering what these are trading for these days, what the interest level and demand have been. Any input is appreciated, thanks!

I haven't seen many in the ISO:FT section and I still see them at all the shops near me in SE VA, so I dunno. Great beer though.

These recently made it to other markets besides MA/RI......I've seen it on shelves in both CT and NY(C). These don't seem to fly off the shelf (possibly due to the high price tag), so I'd imagine that it would go for other $4$ off-the-shelf "limited" bottles (how's that for a category?).

Should take note of this thread, though...a recent batch appears to be suffering from under-carb issues:

Thanks Hanzo. They don't pop up much at all in the Northeast.

    Edit: and you too, Knifestyles!

Total shelf beer. All over the place in MA, like the other Cisco sours.

I had this recent batch. It tasted terrific, but was indeed disappointingly flat, which really hurt its drinkability. I e-mailed Cisco, and got this curious response…
Soo…yeah. Despite my disagreements, I decided not to protest.

Great - another brewery taking on The Lost Abbey defense. Just what we need...

I like Cisco a lot, and I've never had a bad bottle from them, but that explanation is very strange.

If they meant it to be flat then every single bottle should be that way, it would be nice for them to explain how some bottles had higher carbonation.

They did explain....some people drank it colder and others drank it warmer.

But saying at room temp there is slight (very slight) carbonation isn't true is it? I've only had it at a tasting and my bottle remains unopened but I remember it having carbonation at a chilled temp.

Batch variation (there's been a couple so far)?

Sounds like you need to get Mannix on the case

    Cisco's Response = fail.

Strait lambic is still. Beer is not.

Whats the price point on these Cisco sours that sit around on shelves? Have been wanting to try a few of them.

I think they were 17.99 for the 750ml bottles, IIRC, in NY.

i've sent off a few bottles, and off the top of my head i can't remember if they were extras or "main trade". i hope none of them were flat (none of the numerous bottles i've drank were flat--monomoy is my favorite in the series).

oh duh, i (and my friend) traded some for some odell saboteur. come to think of it, that was probably the recent batch, so i hope it wasn't flat. if it was i'll just send him another bottle once cisco gets their act together.

it's hard to gauge value... i'd trade it for something i wanted (shrug). if a past trading partner was interested in some, i'd work something out for whatever they wanted to send.

They vary $18-$22 depending on which one and the store. I see you're from IN - if you have access to the Upland brew pub, you'll easily be able to trade those lambics 1:1 with Cisco sours.

They're pretty good sours. Pechish and Monomoy are top notch, and I like Lady of the Woods a lot too.

This seems like a good place to ask. I've recently seen a few bottles of Winter Woods that appeared to have some issue with the cork closure. This happened in two different stores. Right underneath the cork, where it touches the bottle rim, there appeared to be some mold dustiness. In another store, there was something reddish, looking like dried out spillage. Anyone noticed anything in these or other Wood bottles?

Oh yeah...I've definitely seen this on some of my Woods bottles. Most notably the Full & By Rye. Just cork mold....nothing to really be concerned with. Wipe it down with a damp rag.
