    I'd probably do something with fairly neutral bittering like Magnum and then load up on citra/mosaic in late boil. I make a mostly citra ipa this way and it always tastes amazing.

    If Herb's palate hasn't matured yet, it ain't happenin'. Some people don't like tropical hops. The correlation of drinking beer for more than 20 years while being older than 50 and not liking tropical hops is currently being researched.

    You may have been able to insult him by saying something bad about his Smuttynose IPA clone. A random Budweiser assumption was an amateur diss.

    Wow, I like tropical fruity IPAs as much as the next beer geek, but after 2-3 they get an almost "annoying" hop character to them. A nice balanced pine, earthy and floral IPA is much more drinkable in quantity, and just as enjoyable, IMO.
