JA 2nd Anniversary DIPL and MBC Another One both have these along with other hops. But I am loving when these 2 meet up in a beer. 2 awesome new brews. I will be picking up more of each soon!

Citra is like the blue jeans of hops. They go with everything.

Nope. OP is using region specific terms forgetting there's people from all around the world on this forum. Citra & Simcoe is a very common hop mashup

Just got both on my way home from work and tossed in the fridge. Might have to stay up late tonight so I can't enjoy while cold.

Simtra is indeed a delicious beer, but at $10 for a bomber, I rarely pull the trigger. That's the equivalent of a $32 six pack!

This combination of hops is used in Prairie Hop, and it's so damn delicious.

I dunno. I've had just as many subpar / so so beers using Citra hops as fantastic ones. None have nailed that hop better than Kern River IMHO.

    Cheers!

I just randomly bought these hops yesterday along with Falconers Flight. Look into it more and find out Falconers Flight uses Citra and Simcoe in the blend. My tastes are consistent.

Zombie Dust. HF Susan even though a blend..

A great hop in the hands of a mediocre brewer are just mediocre. No magic here only talent, so I agree completely with you.

I'm drinking a Deschutes Fresh Squeezed IPA, which is a Citra and Mosaic hopped beer. I totally agree with you.

Two of my favorite hops. Never tasted cat piss from either. Just fruitiness and some pine from Simcoe.

I am far from Odin's gift to brewing, but I am coming at this one from a homebrew angle.

Simcoe is my favorite hop. I adore it, it has everything I'm looking for in an American hop. Citrus, pine, tropical fruits and earth. On top of that it multi-tasks brilliantly. It's great for bittering(if expensive), aroma and flavor. I use it in practically every hop-centric application.

I dig on Citra, but I really only like it as a flameout addition or as a dry hop.

Together, with Citra used in the capacity described above, I have enjoyed just about everything I've had with both, commercially and homemade. I made a citrusy bomb of an Amber with CTZ, Simcoe, Amarillo and Citra that was dreamy.
