Anyone do any late hopping/dry hopping with these two and did you like it? I wanna do a hoppy wheat for spring/summer and plan on using these two hops and maybe some centennial/cascade for a nice citrusy hoppy wheat.
sounds like a tasty beer, let us know how it turns out, I should make a hoppy wheat sometime too! Let us know what you end up with, hop schedule-wise.
I was gonna use Amarillo but due to its limited availability I'm sticking with some easier to get hops so I can easily replicate the recipe throughout the summer.

I am drinking a craft limited edition from Freemont Brewing with Citra and Simcoe and it's so good I am going to use this combo in a brew coming up!
Sounds awesome! Looking to do something hoppy for the summer, I may play around with something like this.
I just did my first all-grain IPA with Simcoe and Citra hops and thought they worked great together. I also dry-hopped a few bottles with Cascade hops using these bottle bombs my homebrew store just got it, brought in some great aroma.
I haven't looked around as I have over a pound of each in my freezer, I just assumed they were all scarce right now...
I think I seen that Citra and Simcoe acreage has really went up when compared to Amarillo, which I think is great. Amarillo is a nice hop but its short supply is part of its allure IMO.
I bought some simcoe and citra for the first time and I'm glad you asked about them together cause I was gonna use em together in a brew! I was gonna use pacific jade for bittering and simcoe/citra for flavor and aroma in a typical 2 row/crystal 10 grain bill.
I brewed a Citra/Simcoe IPA last year where I did a 50/50 addtion of Simcoe/Citra for flavor, end of boil and dry hop addtions. That beer turned out great. Cheers!
I like Simcoe and Citra together in APA's, IPA's, and DIPA's myself. For a hoppy wheat I'd probably use Amarillo (a la gumballhead) instead of Simcoe, as I find the pine resin quality of simcoe detracts slightly from the softness of the wheat. This is just personal preference on a nuance level though.
