FishPondManager has the right of it: Sucks is one of the best out there. Snatch it up while you can and live in the now. When it's gone (God, I'll miss it...), then you can worry about where your next hop fix is coming from.

argh... can't believe I'm writing this because it's directly from this video http://www.ticketsarasota.com/2011-...e/funny-video-on-beer-trading-and-beer-geeks/

at any rate, the hops is fading slightly in my sucks... and it doesn't suck quite as much as before

No new batches being sent here, so I'll have to keep my fingers crossed that bombers will show-up later this year.

Surly Abrasive is definitely one to try. However, I think they just canned the last run this past week. You might keep an eye on France44.com this week for some. Definitely worth the dough to ship.

Lawson's Finest Liquids' Double Sunshine is one of the juiciest one, I think more so than heady (time a trip to get that and HT by following Lawson's blog. Avery's Dugana, Victory's Headwaters pale ale and their DIPA, I also really like Cambridge Brewing Company's Audacity of Hops which has some interesting citrus going on—it reminds me of tangelos.

Not sure where in NY you are but if you are able to get your hands on Kane Head High (pretty much just in NJ) then you will have found exactly what your looking for.

To you, maybe. To me, those are both resin heavy West coast IPA's.

The aforementioned Anti-Hero is a good one, as is Head Hunter, and I'll throw in the other 2 from the Holy Trinity from Ohio, White Rajah and Columbus IPA. I'll also add West Sixth IPA to that list.

No doubt, it seems like grapefruit rind is in every sip. It's way better than expected.

Agreed on the flower power. This is probably the one you'll find easiest to locate in NY. It doesn't bomb the taste buds quite as much as HT, but it's really good, pretty easy to find, relatively affordable and tastes pretty much like grapefruit.

Although its made with Mosaic not Citra... I just had supernaut this weekend from NEBCO and that is an amazing grapefruit tasting IPA.

I know that you can't get this in NY but it's worth trading for. New Glarus Thumbprint IIPA, is outstanding! It reminds me of Lagunitas Sucks and I like Sucks a lot! If you are up for trading beers, you should seek out this brew. I will be driving back up to Wisconsin soon to grab a bunch more...

How do these compare to Alchemy hour? I have not had any of them but I thought Alchemy was citrusy and slightly sweet and fandamntastic.

Stone Enjoy By... It's a moderately more complex and refined version of Sucks IMO
