I'd personally have her look for Pipeworks: Ninja vs Unicorn and Lizard King 4 packs.

 

Tell her to hitchhike to 3 Floyds. Lazersnake, Lazurite and Space Station Middle Finger are a wonderful trifecta available now at the pub.

 

For info, P&J is not packaged anymore. It was replaced by YumYum a while ago. What distance is walkable for her i.e. did she bring her walking shoes? Binny's Grand is about a mile away. Printers Row and Warehouse Liquors are less than a mile as well. Not familiar with their FFF stock though as I do not frequent these stores.

Heading to Chicago this weekend for the marathon... is it fairly easy to scoop some of this up? I told a buddy I would look out for some for him

 

You should be able to find Navaja relatively easily in the city, but some places definitely run out and have to wait for the next shipment. I haven't been to Half Acre recently, but I assume they usually have a generous supply at their store. I was at Binny's Lincoln Park on Saturday, and there was a ton of it.

I'll be in Rodgers Park Thursday/Friday and River North-ish Saturday/Sunday

 

Hit up Binny's on Grand Saturday/Sunday. That should be pretty close.

 

Another option would be to stop in at Half Acre on your way from Rogers Park to the River North area. Go straight to the source for Navaja. But, if Binny's on Grand has plenty of Navaja in stock, then you can get that and some other stuff as well.

 

Appreciate the feedback -- definitely will be hitting up somewhere to look for beer but won't have a car... Didn't know how much searching/chasing I would have to do to find it.

 

I'd never say instead of since PF is phenomenal, but they're both good enough that'd I'd pick up both.

@stevefenster, I'd probably just take the bus/train/uber/cab to Binny's if you're in Rogers Park. I used to spend most of my time up that way, and I don't remember it being a great spot for buying beer.
