Civil Society - Summer - 2017

Was really hoping for more ponies but expecting bunnies to be just as tasty. Not huge fan of dankstar but will definitely be there at open.

Can isn't clear what makes nuggets different from fresh. Intrigued

 

Very pleased with a big can release for my last weekend in FL, probably gonna max out on all cans.

Maybe Space Bunnies is a similar recipe to Ponies, but they did not have the same hops available, that beer had like 5 different hops in it.

My speculation with Fresh Nuggets is maybe they brewed Fresh with some kind of Lupulin powder, just a guess.

 

Probably gonna skip this weekend as I just stocked up this last weekend.. that an I have friends in town. Oh well

 

4 can releases are weird for me. Never know how many packs of what beer to buy. Usually only buy 1-2 packs so I'm not overloaded with IPA's but made that mistake with the Schmedium release and regretted it lol first world problems. I just go to Civil so often and can't drink the beer fast enough

I've been at least one of the first 5 people there for the last 5-6 weekend releases, arriving around 11-11:30. I'll prob get there closer to 11 this time. Getting beer is never an issue. I would just rather wait in line before open rather than wait in line once sales start

 

Wish I lived closer for all these can release! If anyone down there has ever had Aardwolf and is looking for a Jacksonville contact in exchange for some Civil hit me up in the PM. They do really good stouts and sours and they offer crowlers now as well, along with bottles of certain releases. Civil was actually just up here a couple weeks ago doing a collab with Aardwolf for an IPL

 

I'll be back for the next Schmedium for sure..

 

No weeks off! Love it. I assume with releases being so frequent, less people will get max allotments and there will be more to go around. Missed out on ponies, anxious to get some space bunnies

 

Sub 14 was ridiculous. I should have grabbed a crowler when I was there Saturday.

 

Friend grabbed me a pack of 14 but needs to cool down. Excited to give it a try tomorrow. Honestly haven't loved a subject beer since 7 so keeping expectations in check but the reviews are ridic

 

I had it on draft, didnt try it in cans, but man it was outta sight.

 

Y'all weren't kidding. 14 is great. Best Subject since 7. Honestly reminds me of Space Ponies in both look and taste

 

Finally got to drink my 14. Excellent. Really liked Emerald Showers too.

 

Pretty glad my lady is making a run for the release tomorrow!

 

Descriptions and limits for this weekend:

• Fresh Nuggets (6.2%) IPA, we substituted Nugget hops for Columbus in our flagship IPA Fresh. 1 case pp, $16 per 4pk.
• Pulp (6.3%) American Wheat Ale w/ Mosaic, 3x4pks pp, $16 per 4pk.
• Dankstar (5.5%) IPA, this batch has Hallertau Blanc (instead of Nelson Sauvin) Simcoe and Mosaic, 3x4pks pp, $16 per 4pk.
• Space Bunnies (8%) DIPA w/ Columbus, Motueka, Cascade Lupulin Pellets, Comet and Mosaic Lupulin Pellets, 4x4pks pp, $18 per 4pk.
