Hey all.. I'm going to be visiting family in the Clairemont, San Diego area over the holiday and my hosts are fairly clueless as to where to score good beer. They live around the corner from the Albertsons off Balboa, and they used to take me there to stock up but i believe it closed. Can anyone recommend a good bottle shop in the area?

    Thanks in advance.

Eh, skip any KnB you see as most beers tend to be on the older side and sitting in the sun. Head a bit further south to Bine and Vine. Geoi will help you out.

Mesa Liquor would be the best. Instead, I would just visit Societe or Council breweries and fill up a growler

Societe is always a must stop when I'm there. I'll check out Council. Thanks man!

Bine and vine us awesome but if you are going that far you might as well hit up San Diego wine company off Miramar and stop by some nearby breweries in the same visit. They have a wide selection of craft beer local and others. Lots of sours and BBA stouts.
