Heading to Clarion to spend a couple of days for my 25th wedding anniversary (where we met and wife wanted to go back). Any "sleeper" places close by to get a few good beers? Read reviews of Toby Hill and that seems to be all there is around. I hope there is a place around with a good tap or two......
    Anything?

About an hour each way would get you to Titusville for Blue Canoe or Clearfield for Denny's Beer Barrel. Denny's has an OK beer selection and giant burgers.

I havent checked but Id think that the last Toby Hill review was probably from me. I had been going down there for work eveyr month for about a year and it was the only place that I could find. You can check out the Triple R Steakhouse but their seletion is weak, with the exception of a few craft bottles.

Toby Hill has a nice variety of PA craft beers and will work for you. I dont recommend the food, its sub par at best and I got food poisoning the last time I was there. Triple R is disgusting too.

Edwins post popped up while I was typing mine and I really like Blue Canoe...they keep somewhat later hours but the food is really good and the beers are decent.

LOLOL...been to the Blue Canoe many times. Great place. (Inlaws live in Oil City).
I actually think North Country in Slippery Rock is a bbit closer than "The Canoe", but would like to stay closer.
As long as I can find a few PA crafts( Toby Hill) I will survive.
Be nice for more options though..........

Another option about 20 mins away is Gateway Lodge in Cooks Forest. My wife and I have been there several times. Beer selection is bottles only but they did have some pretty decent choices. The last couple of times there we had Ommegang, Chimay, Great Lakes, Lagunitas, etc. They also have a small bar/lounge area to hang out if you do not want to eat.

Decent food and good beer in the middle of nowhere.

North Country has a a great decor and really decent food. I've always thought there beers were just average...but like I said, great decor.
