I've been reading a bit about Clarity Ferm. My biggest thing is how gluten makes me feel. I'm not Celiac but I do notice a huge difference.

Anyway, does anyone have experience with Clarity Ferm? Any thoughts or recommendations?

I did search. It didn't see a thread dedicated to it. I probably could have looked deeper but figured they may be older threads. Thanks for your help.

I brewed with it once. I got some because a co-worker was gluten intolerant, but by the time I got to brew she had left the company. I made a pale ale. It was good. I can't tell you about the gluten, but this woman's husband was a homebrewer and he had starting using Clarity Ferm for her sake, and she said she drank his beer without issue. That's a second-hand antidote, but it suggests to me it could be worth trying.

More anecdote: I've heard at least 1 instance of a paired batch experiment, on some podcast or other, and IIRC, the tasters could tell the difference but there was no clear preference. If you can brew good beer, you should be able to brew good beer with Clarity Firm.

My experience is using it for my gluten-sensitive wife. She was unable to drink the beer make with it. She didn't get sick but it did not agree with her. Others report great results. I believe Stone's "Delicious IPA" uses it. You could buy that and try it first to see how it is for you.

To add to my anecdote (not antidote), my gluten intolerant friend was able to enjoy Stone Delicious. It might be a good bellwether.
