Anyone seen this yet and if so, where?
Dying to grab a few if/when we see it.
    Cheers!

The brewery release for the Deschutes version isn't until April 8th, so I'd assume at least 1 to 2 weeks after that before it starts showing up in the Bay Area. Can't say I've heard anything about the other 2 versions though. I'll let you know as soon as I hear anything.

This will be the first release in the series right?
Have to grab a bottle (or more) depending on if it lives up to expectations.

I hope it's good. I have to say I was really excited about the Deschutes/HOTD collaboration and was pretty let down by that (especially at the price) so I hope this is better.

    Yeah, $11.99 for 12oz...
My midwest guys have KBS is $5-10 and I can't imagine that being bad!

Conflux No 1 is drinking really well right now, completely different then when it was fresh

I bought half a case and have made my way through 3 of them since the release. Not nearly as good as I had hoped...the Pinot barrel really killed the beer for me. Pinot barrels work great with sours, but not as well with malty strong ale styles, IMO.

I think there's a reason you can still buy it on the shelf up there, and that's coming from a HotD and Deschutes fanboy.

San luis obispo. I know its not bay area. (i'm from salinas), but i went to the firestone brewery this morning for the parabola release, got pointed in the direction of this shop by the name of Crossroads Liquor and Deli. Very friendly owner and had a small-ish selection but with some gems in it. Found 8 milk chocolate stouts from stone, (i took 4 of them). Found some 2011 vintages of other stuff as well

I've found Deschutes and North Coast at Healthy Spirits and BevMo, respectively.
I see that Blackwell's had all three.
The guy who sold me the North Coast said it's "not an ageable barley wine" and in looking at it, I'm leaning on agreeing. It looks like a golden ale in the bottle.

Yeah, pretty much everything I've heard about the North Coast version sounds like a malty DIPA so much as anything.

What a disappointing beer. Got the Deschutes one, and it didn't taste like a barleywine at all. It's not far from a golden ale, but with too much biscuit malt or something. Totally weird profile. I am disappoint
