    Hi,

From a consumer perspective, I enjoy knowing beers that have been around for a long time (mostly) unchanged. Recipes that have endured the test of time, changing tastes and company takeovers.
Unfortunately, most brewery webpages do not provide such information.

Schneider Weisse lets us know that 3 of their beers have been around for over 100 years
    1872 - Original (TAP 7)
    1907 - Aventinus (TAP 6)
    1916 - Festweisse (TAP 4)

Is anybody aware of other century-old Bavarian beers? From the likes of Andechs, Augustiner, Ayinger, Franziskaner, Hacker-Pschorr, Hofbräu, Löwenbräu, Paulaner, Spaten, Weihenstephan, Weltenburger, etc?

I highly doubt that the Tap 4 is brewed with the same recipe as in 19..

The Tap 4 uses Cascade Hops nowadays, which werent used until the late 70s.

Even traditional brewers tend to change their recipe more often than people think.

Lurchus, steveh, biermark and 3 others like this.
