Classified Section

Everybody already has access to ebay.

 

I don't think it's a bad idea though. Not everybody wants to slog through a bunch of bullshit eBay posts.

 

An idea doesn't have to be bad to be unsuitable. The question to be asked is whether this idea actually benefits the members here or the site founders who may not wish to monitor a buy/sell forum.

As for ebay I find the search function there narrows things down considerably.

 

I personally think it would be beneficial (or suitable, if you prefer) to the users here on BA. Generally speaking, I trust in fellow BeerAdvocates more than an eBay user. That does not necessarily mean it would be a more effective tool than eBay. I think an "item trading zone" or something similar would be an interesting feature.

However, as you said, it ultimately boils down to whether the founders see this as something beneficial to their site. More content = more work. Having said that, I'd bet against seeing something like this being added to the site but that still doesn't change my opinion that it would be a good feature for the users here.

 

I'm not a trader and am not sure of this, but I think if you get 'verified' for beer trading to gain access to that section of the forums, you'll also get access to the Brewerania trading forum. See the Beer Trading forum to get started to find out for sure.

Yes, I interpreted the OP as asking for an additional section.

 

Well, that's what happens in the Breweriana section. Oh well, such is life.
