With the recent forgiveness extended by Todd (https://www.beeradvocate.com/community/threads/moderation-wiping-the-slate-clean-part-two.624313/), could we see some of the old school NW forum regulars roll back in? I'm thinking of @barleywinefiend, and a couple others. There are some who left voluntarily, and others, like @draheim , who drifted away for life reasons.

Anyway, if any of y'all have contact info for some of those folks, maybe consider hitting them up, and let them know they are welcome back.

True that. One I would like to see come back I don't remember his name. Black beard. Owned a beer store in Shelton. Friendly as hell who knew everyone. Had a white dog for his avatar. The Terry of the South Sound. Surely someone knows who I'm talking about...

He’s still around, I think he might work for New Belgium now based on his involvement with some events at Toronado. You’ll see him post from time to time on BTS (Facebook).

Also, I don’t think barleywinefiend can drink anymore due to health issues. I saw him post something about that a while ago. Also think he moved away.

I'm on some other beer-related boards that harbor BA refugees, and from what I gather, you'll see few, if any, of them coming back.

With the rise of social media and other forms of commination/trading, I'm sad to say these types of forums are a dying breed. And that doesn't apply just to beer forums in my experience.

Facebook is such an inferior experience for discussions compared to message boards, I don't understand it.

    Get off my dinosaur lawn.

Yeah, moderation used to be heavier, and tolerance for OT was almost non-existent. Lots of folks were banned, while others just walked away from the site.
