I have no business brewing for quite a while as I have no available kegs yet one more brew in a fermenter, so I thought that my conical's ball valves could be opened up and given a thorough cleaning. I've looked them over and see some pictures of 'exploded' ball valves - doesn't look too tricky but I thought I'd throw it out there just in case. I've got the contraptions with the 4 bolts, etc.

    This looks good

I have not had problems, just do it.

Didn't watch, but the only suggestion I can give is to slowly tighten all the bolts to the same tension, and when you get to the point where you can still slightly manipulate the middle portion (where the part the handle is attached to) make sure that it is lined up and all the parts are level.
