So I've had a couple of Better Bottles out in the garage for a few months, filled with either sanitizing solution or or One-Step cleanser. Some bugs have fallen in, etc. I really would prefer not to throw these away if I didn't have to. Will a solid blasting with a garden hose, followed by a couple bouts of Oxyclean, followed by one or two rounds of Star-San do the trick? I'm tight on money, so I don't want to risk ruining an entire batch. Any advice? Should I just toss these out, or should I be good to go?

By all means throw the bugs away
Rinse them out and if you like re sanitise them but really there's probably no need to worry.I'd never heard of sanitising when I began home brew , it was just cleanliness then, and never had any infection problems using just suds and hot water followed by a thorough cold water rinse..

Rinse, clean with Oxiclean, sanitize, reuse. If you had large rats that had fallen in and decomposed for a few months, it might be different. Better Bottles work just like glass carboys except they can get scratched so don't use any brushes in them. Hot Oxy soak for a few hours and a good StarSan soak will be fine. Mad Fermentationist inoculates his BBs with full blown souring cultures and lets them go for months to years and then cleans and sanitizes and fills with clean beers. If he can do that, a few bugs in water for a few months is fine. If you must discard of them because you feel this won't work, BBs have to be disposed of in a specific way that I have access to so you should send them to me and I'll take care of them for you.

I keep on saying that scratches don't matter. They really don't.Sanitising fluids can get into cracks perfectly easily. My FV was a disgrace to look at but I kept on using it because it did the job perfectly.
