The Brownies are playing in home this weekend and I'm making the trip to Cleveland tomorrow afternoon for beers with my buddy who's in town because he works for the Lions. Best craft beer bars in Cleveland??? Or any store around the area where I can hope to find some rare finds?

    Go Brownies

How far away from Downtown are you willing/able to go?

Fat Heads will be about 25-30 minutes away, depending on traffic. The Brew Kettle will be about 20 minutes away. Great Lakes is much closer, but I can't speak to the amount of beer they have on tap/food choices, though I imagine both are good. Right by the stadium (I'm assuming they're staying close) I'm not familiar with as much. I know there is City Tap Cleveland and the Winking Lizard. Best as I can remember, City Tap will have more options, not sure which place has better right now.

If you have the time, I'd vote Fat Head's or Brew Kettle, but with logistics, there are other choices that may be better. With some more info, some locals may better be able to help you find the best choice.

Great thanks, I know all three of those breweries are very close. I don't think the whole group I'll be with will be up for heading to a brewery so I figured I could try to lead us to a bar in the downtown area with a good selection.

Your best best is to venture over to West 25th. Nano Brew, Great Lakes Brewing, Town Hall and Bier Market all within a couple of blocks. If you feel like driving a couple of miles from that area, try Tremont Tap House. Search for each places tap list before you go as you'll likely find something specific worth seeking out at one of these places.

I haven't lived in Cleveland for a few years, but from what I remember, directly downtown it can be difficult to find a good craft beer bar, mostly macros.

To buy beer, try Warehouse Beverage in South Euclid, or better yet, hit a Lizardville which is a beer store/bar related to the Winking Lizard and directly next door (or in the case of Copley in the same building). Unfortunately these stores are about a 20 minute drive from downtown but are completely worth the drive.

Winks bar and grill is at the galleria. About a half mile from the stadium, or about a ten minute walk from the stadium.

Rozi's in Lakewood is about a ten minute drive from the stadium. That's the bottle shop I'd hit.
