Cleveland Beer Week

That's a bummer you missed Bodhi-palooza for that shit show. I had a feeling that was going to happen. I have gone to FFF a few times this summer so I have had my fair share of their beers. Plus, I'd rather support an OH brewery and two places that are very good craft beer venues.

 

The Rozi's/Deagan's event was fantastic. Not sure why everyone was so hyped up on the Three Floyds event other than the fact that "IT'S THREE FLOYDS, BRAH." I'll take Bodhi any day over any Three Floyds beer (just my opinion, of course).

 

Not to mention you could have went to bspot for Zombie Dust if you were so inclined.

 

I was fine just going to Fat Head's and having Hop Stalker and Tweaked, but I would have gone to Deagan's if I didn't have things to do.

 

Mike, any update on what BA beers Fat Head's is going to have Saturday?

 

I asked and either asked the wrong person or they don't want to say. I was going to go look at the barrels before I left to see if they were marked but I forgot. I might stop in today after work and ask again(and drink some Tweaked).

 

Yeah it was a great event. Super impressed with the Deagans staff and how they handled everything with the craziness. Rozi's had the best variant in the bunch with the Grapefruit IMO. I was actually happy the FFF event was last night...feel like it may have kept the Bodhi crowd at a reasonable level.

 

Do you think Tweaked will be around for a few more days? I had a growler of it the first time they tapped it (N.O.) but would love to try it again.

 

I don't know if it will even be there today when I go. Last time they only brewed one or two kegs and it kicked at the brewpub already(but they may have another keg).

 

The barrels you saw have hippy sippy, battleaxe, and the collab they just did. 50 west or devils backbone. I cant remember which one. They will be tapped saturday

 

Maybe it's just me, but it seems like there is too much out of state stuff for Cleveland Beer Week. I personally have no interest in FFF, Founders, Bell's(especially)etc. and like our locals much more. I know many disagree and that's fine, just my .02

No problem. I was planning on going to the bodhi event but got home from work way later then planned so we went to fat heads to pick up some hop stalker cans (by the way that beer is fantastic, the ones i bought were canned 4 hours before i bought them). I saw the barrels and had to ask about it.

 

I had heard about BA Hippy Sippy a few weeks ago so I'm glad to see that was true. Cannot wait to try that one!

 

i have a bachelor party saturday night but if they are releasing it during the day i am definitely going to try and make my way over there. i am so pissed that i got out of work late and didnt get a chance to go to the bodhi party

 

The CBW page says they will tap the BA beers at 5pm on Saturday.

 

well damn. maybe ill find a way. hop stalker is off the charts by the way.

 

The Bodhi event really was fantastic. Rozis had a nice flow to the crowd, but wasn't super packed, and even with as busy as Deagan's was they kept everything flowing. Was an excellent event with great beers.

Doesn't surprise me about Oak Barrel. They are around the corner from where I work, and everyone here talks about the bad service there. I debated the 3F event, but didn't want to wait until 6pm, and also with living in Lakewood it was just easier to do the Bodhi event. Personally I Loved the coffee and the Coconut... Great balance and flavor.

Just a few more nights...

 

Not sure that the 50 west collab has aged enough to be ready yet - it was just brewed 2 months ago, so I (speculating) don't know if they'll have that one. I heard BA Hippy Sippy and Rye BA Battleaxe for sure.

 

The more events the more people get spread out though.
