Seems to change with some frequency.... where should one go in downtown Cleveland/ intercity area for a solid tap selection?

Totally agree. Add in La Cave du Fin or Biere Mrkt and the circle will be complete.

Don't listen to the MI people - they are leading you astray.

Tremont Taphouse and Winks have the best selections in the city. Nano and Town Hall also are decent taprooms. Great Lakes is the only brewery downtown worth a visit.

Market Garden has boring, average beer. La Cave du Vin isn't downtown and is pretty mediocre (not to mention if you write an honest criticism of the place and the snobby attitude from the owner he will threaten you online). If you're driving 10-15 minutes out, go to Lizardville in Rocky River and to Fat Heads in North Olmstead.

If you have a car and can only go to one place, hit Fat Heads. If you're stuck with cabs, head to the Tremont Taphouse.
