Clout stout 2014???

It is 2014. Had trouble last year and aborted the '13 - which turned into the Imp Porter. So released '14 this year rather than hold for the year for 2015

 

Very interesting. I was wondering what the deal was with the Imperial Porter being "blended". What was it blended with, may I ask? The oatmeal stout?

It's not in Melbourne yet. They had label issues (they hand label it, those crazy kids). Should be out in Perth next week, no idea when it hits eastern states.

 

You can get a growler of it at Tru Bru for $100...

Clear enough. However, Clout Stout has been known to be in 30l kegs.

FWIW, it was very impressive from a small growler.

 

Nice of them to finally put it so clearly. That said, it sounds like the law is lagging behind the times on this one. I get that a higher rate of duty is payable for the smaller container but there must be a way (Once you change the legislation to allow it) to allow shops to repackage into growlers and only pay the difference in excise to the ATO. It wouldn't be too hard to manage if you just assume that the entire keg was repackaged and report it that way.
