Hey gang, sorry if this has been talked about already but I looked in the "search" and didn't see anything so I decided to make a new post. Anyway, what are some fun activities for homebrew clubs to do? We are a smaller club, about 20-25 members but usually around 10-12 people at a meeting. What are some fun things you have done with your club or wish your club would do? Thanks!
I posted this a few weeks ago. I got some great ideas. http://www.beeradvocate.com/community/threads/presentation-ideas-for-brew-club.204982/
The James River Homebrewers newsletter goes w-a-y back. You could look them over to see that this Club has been doing at their meetings since 1983. http://jrhb.org/Brewsleaders.php
Thank you both! Good stuff. @HerbMeowing I just participated in your club's homebrew club, The Dominion Cup. Small world...
Group Brews are great!!! Participating in Big Brew Day or National Learn to Brew day are good times!! We've also contacted breweries from the area and had reps come in and talk to us. A great presentation we had recently was a "show and tell" with homebrew gadgets. Got everything from keg washers to temp controllers. Everyone had a great time with it! Our club is also getting ready to do a beer judging event at the next meeting. Give small groups a homebrew and a stack of judging sheets and let them judge the beer.
