What batch #? I opened 49 last weekend and found it very good and not as much booze taste as the 52 I had yesterday. I probably was thinking about it too much but it took me a lot longer than usual to finish. Also while we're on the topic whats everyone been seeing on bbb prices? I've seen 12-14 but would like to find it a little cheaper if I could...

I opened one (batch 49) last night as well and couldn't agree more. Especially for $0.55 per ounce.

Batch 49 is one of my favorites! Drinking 54 and really like the coffee/chocolate notes I'm getting and not much barrel. I like being able to identify the different batches and compare notes. 49 I feel like is a great balance between the barrel and coffee flavors. Curious what others think of 52 if they've had it, for me it was one of the boozier bottles I've had.

Drinking a Ctayt -- the GABF winner -- right now. Not terribly impressed.

But to tag on to recent comments, the last glass of BBB (at Epic, on tap) that I had was quite tasty. More balance and much less bitter-coffee-ground flavor than I recall.

Ryan from Odd13 here. We are throwing our hat into the barrel aged stout ring even though we don't brew very many stouts. On Black Friday, we are releasing a barrel aged Russian Imperial Stout called Saint Nicole in our tap room. The tap room has 12 cases allocated, as well as some draft. It's partially aged in bourbon barrels and comes in at 14%. It tastes amazing and it has awesome label art as well. I hope you guys and gals come check it out.

Hey guys, I am looking for some feedback on the 2015 Copper Kettle Release of Snowed In!
No reviews or impressions of the 2015 batch have been posted. It's pretty pricey (at $18/bottle) so I am looking for some discussion. Did anyone go to the release party?

I had no desire to chase down BCBS. I have a nice stock pile of BBB from years past in my cellar along with Stone w00t stout. There are a lot of good options out there - no need to chase whales. The one beer I will chase and drive all over town for however is FW Sucaba :-)

The Brain will be back soon enough. No reason to chase fake rare beers when the real thing is on the way.

Just curious - there was a version of the Count on tap at Cedar Creek last Spring. Was that keg from last December or was is some other version? I love that beer (and the original release from 2011/12) and wasn't sure what the deal was.

I just talk to Grimm brothers, they said they only have five cases of the count and it is $20 this year. It has not been released since 2012, but it was one of my favorite beers at the time. Still, that is less than 12 gallons of beer. And the price is pretty dang high. 60 bottles are you kidding me?

This is hearsay, so its inadmissible, but my friend and I went to Copper Kettle last Friday and he told me that he enjoyed the 2015 batch of Snowed In. He didn't compare it to last year's but said it was tasty, nonetheless.

I didn't try any of this year's release...because I was burnt out on Snowed In having polished off a bottle of the 2014 batch the day before after Thanksgiving dinner.

2015 is good, strong coffee presence if not as strong as 2014. The bourbon is complimentary but doesn't overwhelm. Solid body. Goes for $18 @ the brewery. They have matching tulip glasses for $10.

I might technically liked the 2014 a bit better because I found the coffee to be stronger. I didn't save any '14 to see what a year does to it. I've stopped that w/coffee beers
