Any suggestions on flavorful low ABV beers available at stores? Any style is welcome, but hoping the options expand beyond mainly lagers. I realize just moving up the ABV to 5.5 opens it up to a lot more beers, but trying to keep it at 5.0 or under. Thanks!
For me in that ABV range, 90% of the time (at least in the summer) I am buying a lager. But since you were asking "beyond...lagers" here are a few that I can think of: Upslope - Rocky Mtn Kolsch, Oatmeal Stout Finkel and Garf - Oatmeal Milk Stout Station 26 - Colorado Cream Ale and Pale Ale (though I don't see this much anymore) Funkwerks - White and the Provincial series Westbound and Down - Session IPA (not consistently available in stores but I've seen it a few times) Bootstrap - Sticks Pale Ale Spice Trade/Yak N Yeti - Chai Milk Stout
TRVE has three right now: SKULLSEEKER - Blonde Ale • 5.1% HELLION - Pale Ale with Oats • 4.5% SUFFERING SOUL - Mixed Culture Sour with Ginger, Black Pepper, Grapefruit, and Lime • 5.1%
Thanks! Sorry if my post was confusing, definitely open to lager suggestions, but was just hoping the thread could comprise other styles as well.
Wiley Roots just released a Mexican Lager and Lime version this past weekend and if you're into that sorta thing, their Fruit Lady and Slush beers also fit the bill. Weldwerks Fit Bits is both low ABV and low calorie but legit still tastes great. New Image's Single by Choice and Half Half series also clock in right at 5% and always pack in the flavor.
