I have a co2 cylinder that looks like it came off of a construction site. Are there any benefits to using an aluminun cylinder vs. the steel cylinder I currently have?
    Thanks.

Other than aluminum being much lighter I think they are equal.

Functionally (the characteristic that counts), they're identical. Aside from that, Aluminum is pricier, lighter, and prettier.

Aluminum tanks are generally better as there is less corrosion and they are lighter. Co2 Cylinders are charged by weight and a pressure gauge is only used for the rate at which it is discharged so the qty left is determined only by weighing the cylinder.
In Seattle Western Fire & safety recharges and sells these cylinders
