Hey everyone! Me and my lady are heading out west soon for Weekend #2 of Coachella. We were going to bring some fun bottles to enjoy on the coast, but were tossing around the idea of trying to get some BA'ers together to pop some bottles! Anyone on here going to be attending the second weekend, and if so, any interested in doing a lil bottleshare? Cheers! Reed
Just a note, if you are camping at the Coachella venue I believe they confiscate all glass (or at least did previous years). So yeah...word of warning.
Some friends and i did this a couple years back. All glass bottles were hidden in the bottom of large coolers, under lots of ice. Easy to get in. Side note, Sours/BA Stouts and 100+ degrees don't mix for most people.
We are planning on bringing some heaters (Casey, Side Project etc) and I figured it would be fun to meet up with a few people and pop bottles. I won't have a problem opening them with just us 2 if nobody wants to tho.
Um... Coachella isn't coast, it's desert. The only water there comes in $25 bottles from the management.
Ground State will be pouring at Coachella at some point and The Rare Barrel just posted that Cosmic Dust & Keen Observation will be on at "The Rare Beer Tent."
Just had Ground State tonight at the "Rare Beer Tent". Pricy as hell but tasted exactly like chocolate coffee fudge - great.
Really enjoyed the Drink Yrself Clean from Noble. Also nice to see some Boneyard on tap. A very solid selection overall...
Forgot to mention how impressed I was when a guy I know from Minnesota pulled out a (waxed 750ml) bottle of Surly Smoke in the Sahara tent. Next day he brought in some tall-boy cans. Nice smuggling skills...
Nice. I ended up getting multiple pours of Ground State, as well as Keen Observation from Rare Barrel. I was extremely impressed with the selection, and killed some side project and loons after hours at our camper. It was a good time for sure!
