I haven't heard anything else, but they did post that regular Blackbeerd would be available in Feb, unless I read their blog post incorrectly. Excited for the regular bottles as well, they haven't released a regular (non-BA) Blackbeerd in bottles since I've lived here (close to 3 years).

I've never had this beer but I live in upstate SC and was just curious to know if any of the BA version will make it to the Greenville area this year?

The last time it was made it did make it here. That was Nov/Dec of 2013.

Coast is selling Blackbeerd Imperial Stout (not the barrel aged) right now at the brewery. $11 a bottle, $6/7 a pint (can't remember.) They said they shipped a few cases out this week. BA comes later.

Barrel Aged Blackbeerd going down tomorrow? Seems like a good day for it!

That event looks awesome! Unfortunately I will be out of town that weekend. Hopefully a full release follows closely at the brewery.

Just grabbed a few bottles and had a pint. It's pretty damn good! The barrel isn't as present as previous years, more so in the nose than in the taste. I was drinking it out of a pint glass though and it will get you quite buzzed from a single pour.

I agree...it was really good! I picked up a lot of chocolate when drinking mine and thought that the barrel-aging added a nice balance. One pint at the brewery was enough for me.

Definitely a plus on the chocolate. I'll crack a bottle in a few months and see how it ages. Hopefully a cask will pop up around town.

All around, it's really well balanced and another great brew

I felt like there was a fairly substantial barrel presence personally. Absolutely fantastic BA Stout

I was out of town this weekend, but plan on picking up a case on Fri. There seemed to be a bunch of barrels full of the stuff at the brewery, so I assume it will last til then. I hope so at least.

At $18 a bottle, I doubt it will be flying out of there. Then again, you never know...my wife and I loved it!
*Edit: The $8 pint was definitely a bargain compared to the bottles!!
