I'm going to be down this way in March and I'm looking for some place to go shopping and get things that I can't get back home in PA. The distribution at home is ok but not great. Looking for things like Prairie or Three Floyds or Surly...etc. I can't get those at home. Can anyone recommend a place that isn't too far of a drive? I'm sure we'll be doing at least one day in Disney and thinking of taking a day trip to Cigar City but we'll see about that.
We don't get 3F or Surly beers here either. When you are in Orlando, check Knightly liqours on Orange Blossom Trail for a nice selection of Prarie beers.
Cocoa Beach and Brevard County in general is a craft beer wasteland. Total Wine and maybe some ABC stores will be your best bet on anything worthwhile. Red Light Red Light is a must in Orlando.
Thanks....not exactly what I wanted to hear but thanks! I am 90% sure I will be making the drive so I might have to stop somewhere along I-95 to grab some good stuff.
A few miles off 1-95 in Florence, SC is a liquor store called Mickey Finn's. Pretty decent selection (Westbrook & COAST) I would recommend stopping there on your way down or back up to PA. I'm from Cocoa Beach and my parents and family still live down there and as of last May there is very little in terms of craft beer/bottle shops. I would recommend going to Playlinda Brewing in Titusville. https://www.playalindabrewingcompany.com/ If you're in Titusville and like seafood this place is must. http://dixiecrossroads.com/
In downtown Cocoa Beach, check out the Village Idiot. Right next to an awesome pizza place called Ryans. Just off 520...heading toward the beach. If you go over the bridge, u turn and head West. They have a great selection of heers!
Sunseed Co-op just across the Cocoa Beach line in Cape Canaveral has a small beer section, but it's all decent stuff. ABC in Cocoa Beach sometimes has some decent stuff, Total Wine in Viera, about 8 miles southwest has a very good selection. About 15 miles southwest in Melbourne, Downtown Produce has the best selection and prices of anybody in the area. Here's a link that allows you to compare distribution between different states. http://seekabrew.com/distro/index.html Cheers!
Yes to Village Idiot. We just spent a week at the village marina and went there several times. No food but you can bring your own. I had Ryan's pizza twice, decent but Ossorio has a wood fired pizza. Also check at the new Pub Americana. And if you need donuts do not miss Sugar Shack.
