One of the things listed in the Code of Conduct is you cannot offer to mule. Does this apply to beer releases via lottery where the brewery allows proxy pickups? I have done a lot of proxy work for people who have won the Upland sour lotteries and would like clarification if I can offer to be a proxy in the appropriate thread for the Upland sour releases?

It applies across the board, and has always been part of the beer trading rules. Many are tired of release threads turning into people trying to make some form of deal in them vs. discussing the actual release.

IMO, Proxy is different than muling.

Proxy is someone else picking up someone's allocated beer for them. Muling is making an arrangement for someone to go get beer that IS NOT allocated for you.

Proxying for someone should be acceptable, no idea why it wouldn't be (if abiding by brewery terms).

Muling is extremely frowned upon, for what should be obvious reasons, but I don't want to start a debate on it.

I wish there was an official place for this and trustees that could allow feedback to be given just like trading. I needed a trustee for tired hands (and fast) and lucked into a deal. But he has my gift card and I have to just trust it will all work out. Yes I send him free beer but it isnt a pay situation. A feedback system could help people not to get ripped off.

I tend to agree here. Though I can imagine this would likely be low on the prioritization list, it would be cool to know that this is something that may be developed someday.

this is among the reasons why it's not permitted.

feedback won't help this and we're not interested in entertaining this kind of activity.
