So I missed out on this one. I realize its a long-shot, but does anyone know where I might be able to find this one still sitting on the shelf in the Denver area? Would also be open to trading for a bottle, if you may have picked up any extras.
I had some recently, and coffee cinnamon abominable missed out on the coffee and the cinnamon. Maybe the brewer was drinking coffee and eating a cinnamon roll when he brewed it, but it had none of that character. Otherwise, it was good, but realistically, you missed out on nothing.
I respectfully disagree...the two that I drank had a nice coffee flavor and the cinnamon, though subtle, definitely added a nice layer.
I also thought it was a ridiculously good beer. Pretty surprised to hear opinions to the contrary but to each their own. Steve_0 I wish I could help you out. The store I got it from only got 6 bottles, I only got 1. Good luck though.
I was able to get more than one, but not nearly as many as I would have liked, and already traded one so it would take something special to budge me on another knowing how good it is.
I thought it was very good, but the bottle I had (shared with friends) had zero spice character. I actually don't like cinnamon beers, so I was alright with it, but it was weird to me that it was billed as a cinnamon variant and had no cinnamon in it.
In answer to the "where I found it in Denver": that little bottle shop inside The Source. This was about three weeks ago.
This thread got me inspired so I just cracked my bottle. Delightful beer. A little hot, but the coffee and cinnamon are certainly there, and not heavyhandedly. Really nice beer.
