Additive, flavoring, groceries, all that stuff I don't care for. I misspoke on the adjunct. I really meant unnecessary flavoring additives

OK. That makes sense with what I remember seeing on shelves. Java Stout disappeared and Arabicadabra appeared. Then Arabicadabra disappeared a couple of years later.

I don't recall Arabicadabra being quite as coffee forward as Java Stout, but it has been a couple of years.

Sammy Smith's Oatmeal Stout is quite a good stout for sure! :+1:

Their Imperial Stout isn't bad either. Though it is a bit "lightweight" in the ABV department at 7%. Lightweight for an Imperial Stout that is.

Had a 2 year old Central Waters Brewhouse Coffee Stout recently, coffee notes were still excellent.

Try Mother's Winter Grind, if you can find it. Here's my review:

Pours black with a small head. The smell is all coffee. The taste is like someone burnt some espresso then watered it down to try and correct the problem. I tried this beer twice and poured it out both times. It's thin, watery, and the most coffee-est forward beer I've ever had. I know some people who love this, but it's just not for me.

It's an Imperial Stout you can have more than one of.

I miss the Young's Brewing oatmeal stout and all of their stuff back before the Wells Brewing merger that they were stronger all around than Sam Smith's.
Since the Ram Brewery was shuttered after the merge the only two things that were kept were Well Banana Bread and Young's Double Chocolate Stout both of which I never cared for compared to Young's Oatmeal Stout, Ram Rod Ale & Old Nick barley wine.
Now Sam Smith's is about the only English stuff I can find and occasionally St. Peter's but those are rare anymore as well.

I know it's not available outside of CA unless you're trading, but Cellarmaker imperial coffee+cigs double coffee version is my new favorite non-BA coffee stout that I've had. Regular version was already a coffee bomb.

Not sure where in PA you are located, but Freewill Brewing in Perkasie just released one of their OG beers again, C.O.B. If it's anything near what it was before, it's really coffee forward.

Really wish they would release Brown Beard again; rum barreled aged!!!

I always have liked Pizza Port Bacon & Eggs Imperial Porter. Just the right amount of coffee taste.
