I have a pound ofJava Taman Dadar Organic RFA and I want to make a nice thick, chewy stout. What grains would compliment this bean and make it the focal point? Any help would be appreciated

I was pondering most of those. The Marris Otter I hadn't thought of. Thanks for the help!

Smoked malt, like Cherrywood, can be a good addition as well. I typically use 2 lbs of cherrywood smoked malt in my coffee imperial stouts. I think it complements the roasty characters.

I have regular Briess smoked malt. It's very old, so the flavor may be more mild now. Think that'll be ok?
