Can't do it in the morning; I'd go straight back to bed. Straight coffee is all I want, but a big stout would certainly work if you go that way.

We eat breakfast for dinner all the time- omelets, frittatas, waffles, etc... I actually like to do grapefruit Sculpin with it as it's sort of a riff on the OJ with breakfast thing. I couldn't do a big ABV stout with real breakfast in the AM, just too much booze.

    Or with banana juice, coke...
It's fairly common to have one over in Germany esp Bavaria iirc, usually with "second breakfast".

I think a coffee stout would go perfect with bacon and eggs. Can't have morning without coffee or beer! Or bacon!

One alcoholic drink in the morning isn't irresponsible at all. Its not like you have to binge drink afterward. I wouldn't hesitate to split a FBS or Peche Mortel between three people over a hearty breakfast. I would rather take a Munich Dunkel or Schwarzbier or two.

Usually only when I'm camping and actually it's pre-breakfast while I'm waiting on the fire to cook and make my coffee.

I like chocolate stouts or actually pilsners with breakfast on some days off of work. Subtle hops go well with breakfast sandwiches.

I drink beer for breakfast quite a bit and I love stouts specifically oatmeal and coffee stouts for breakfast, you can also try a fruit lambic or something sweeter and pancakes, it's great.

Beer with breakfast? Not usually, but there is a brunch combination that is hard to beat. It originates in Bavaria in involves weisswurst, a soft pretzel, mustard and sourkraut along with a nice hefeweizen, properly poured so it is cloudy with yeast.

I like to drink tea in the morning. Beer for breakfast just doesn't work for me.. unless I've been up all night partying, then it's more like a nightcap.

When I was a bachelor I used to put Guinness in my cereal (Quaker Natural). I got tired of buying milk and having it expire by the time I wanted to use it. It was actually pretty good.

Stouts off all kinds are great for pancakes. I also do enjoy ipas with any breakfast with some heat to it. Stouts just don't go with chorizo breakfast tacos.

And to all who say I don't drink before a certain time. You can't drink all day if you don't start in the morning.
