New brewer here and loving this site!! I would appreciate any helpful comments. So, I over primed my first batch. Tested one after a week and had good carbonation, but the beer still tasted "green". I have put them all in the fridge to avoid bottle bombs and cease carbonation.

My question is will the flavor continue to improve in the fridge if I give it time and if so about how long should I wait to crack one open and try it.

Thanks again I know this is a newbie mistake to over prime, but as a result I've learned allot about co2 volume and the whole carbonation process so not all bad.... just want to know if I can somehow save this batch.

Given that you have over primed you really have no choice here but to refrigerate them to stop them from being 'bottle bombs'. A consequence of refrigerating these beers is that the yeast will go dormant and thereby end any flavor maturation that is due to yeast processing. This does not 100% mean that the beer will not 'evolve' due to the cold conditioning but the nature of the 'evolution' will be different.

Continue to keep your beer refrigerated and periodically drink the beer and take note of how it 'evolves' over time.

    Cheers!

Thank you for your response. I guess I will just have to wait and see.
