Who's all going? I haven't had a chance to attend one of these yet so I'm excited to be there on sunday. What's your experience from past colLAboration events?

I should be there if things work out. Never been but it sounds awesome. There are some picture series on the web if you search for them. It looks like it has been a great time in the past.

I've been to 2, can't think of a better way to spend an afternoon. Be sure to follow their twitter feed on a mobile device so you know when a new beer goes on.

I will definitely be there. I was skeptical at first, but if it's like the other ones there will be lots of great brews at good prices with good company. And I'll probably need to have at least a little buzz to enjoy the oscars that evening.

It is highly recommended that you follow their twitter feed as it tells you what's on deck to getting tapped.

I've been to almost all of them and my favorite is still either the first one or the blue palms one. The sunset ones were a little lame because there wasn't enough people to have kegs kick quickly enough so new stuff would be tapped.

I hope this one is pretty crowded as I do love it when new stuff gets tapped.

    See you all there.

I'll be making the grueling 4 block trek from my apt to check this out. It's my first time going - how does it work with buying beers once inside? Is it just one "bar" area you walk up to? Do you have to buy tokens before we get beers or can we pay via cash/credit card as we go?

From what I understand you have to buy a glass as your admission into the event. You also have to prepay for tokens for full pours or tasters before you go inside to have some on hand. I believe once you are inside you can purchase more however. I have seen pictures from previous events and it seems like they actually had beer trucks with taps on the outside of them. Obviously, this event is inside so I am not too sure how it will work.

I may try to make an appearance. Finally have a Sunday off where a beer event is going on.

    Thanks for the info, BrewN.

I kinda wish I bought a taster glass too now instead of full size. Any idea if they do taster pours into full size glasses? Or do they only do that if you buy the taster "package" ?

I asked that question and got a response that taster sized pours can only be done in the taster glasses. If you have the regular glass or stein you have to purchase full sized pours.

Sigh. Seems overly difficult. Since my girlfriend won a stein and free admission, I'm gonna try to pay the difference between my beer token package and the taster token package ($3). Don't have high hopes for success, but wish me luck.

So what did y'all end up drinking this afternoon and what did you think?

I had Schmaltz/Terrapin Reunion, Deliverance, La Folie, PtY, Sucaba, and Indra Kunindra. Pretty solid lineup. I didn't love the venue but I had a good time.

I thought this event was dissapointing overall, lineup was decent but not as good as past events.... PtY was on tap for about 5 minutes at each location. bartendars were kind enough to serve to there friends off to the side while the line didnt move

as mthomas said, it somehow lasted a very short time even though they did tiny tiny pours. friend and i lucked out and just happened to walk into that BP food room right as they put it on, so we managed to get some. it was pretty chaotic, and considering that one token got at least 8 oz of things like Sucaba, La Folie, Deliverance, and more the maybe barely 4 ozs weren't my favorite pour of the day.

did you do your 20 pours in taster size? that sounded like a good option, and if i hadn't already had a glass i probably would have gone that route.

Did you guys have fun? I was stuck pouring outside at the beer pong patio but had a great time! Despite being sick. Pretty neat venue.
