So I think it is time for another Denver area tasting. Was motivated by drinking a Collage, so I thought we could break it down. I have them all except for Fred. Would also like to have a Dissident 2008 to try if anyone is willing. I'll bring anything else we are missing as well as host. The remaining beers would be Dissident 2010, Stoic (yuck!), Adam, and Collage (yum!). Let me know if you want to bring any of those. Also, I figure 6 beers is not enough for a tasting, so we will open it up to other American Strong Ales.

    Day: Sunday August 12, 2012
    Time: 5 - 9 pm
Place: Elliot's (address to be sent in BM, DU area)
Beers: Collage breakdown or other American Strong Ales

Daggnabbit, I was just up there last week. Picked up some Adam, but not Dave.

We are. There will not be a tasting at my house sunday, only the one noted above.

Hey, I know this tasting has been combined with the other thread, but it sounds like the component aspect got put on hold.

I have a Baller Stout that I won in the Mystery Bottle LIF (requisite link to the version I am running here). I also have a Dark Lord on the way. How about doing a double component tasting

    Collage (Adam, Fred, Stoic, Dissident)
Baller Stout (Dark Lord, Darkness, Black Albert, Beer Geek Brunch)

    ???

Damn, I haven't read forums in a while and missed this. I need to pay more attention

It did. Unfortunately as we were moving the bottles the table broke and we lost most of them.
Just kidding, I have no idea...wasn't there :grinning:

It didn't go down. Hoping it can get set up in the future.

Did not happen. I couldn't make the later tasting last weekend, so we did not do the Collage breakdown. Quirkzoo wants to do a Baller Stout breakdown as well, so the plan is to do both at once. I think we could limit it to a three person tasting if we can find someone with Beer Geek Brunch and Fred, then one or two of the others. Just kidding! Let's open this thing up. Any other good breakdowns we could do? FW anniversary beers? Hebrew Jewbelation Vertical (the beer, not a vertical, but I guess a breakdown would be both )? I'm horrible at planning things, so if someone else could take the lead, I'll try to monitor this forum a little more.

I'd settle for a Kabert breakdown too.

    I have

    Baller, DL
    Collage, Fred (1x12oz), stoic
Melange #3, White Oak (if we wait till oct I will have black Tuesday)

And I have no problem bringing some or all to a tasting. The limiting factor for me is that my wife is due with baby #2 any day now so my availability is spotty.

We should just plan this for the Sunday before GABF, to kick off beer week.

I have Stoic, Fruet, Cuir 25% (tho probably want the 100%), and White Oak as well. I can get Adam & Fred pretty easily. I drank my Black Tuesday already.

My wife's parents will be in town that weekend before GABF, but that's probably as good a time as any.
