How much of this brew was produced? Anyone know?

 

Think it was $11.99 a bottle at Healthy Spirits. I'm also reasonably sure that they're now sold out.

 

Saw some today @ Total Wine and More Tustin didn't take a look at the price though.

 

Been seeing it here and there in the East Bay lately - Beer Rev had it, Fremont Liquors had a decent-sized stash as of last weekend, and Star Grocery in Oakland had some this afternoon.

Kibbles 'n Bits

I saw Collage at Mesa Liquor in Kearny recently. Along the same lines as KnB as far as pricing.

 

But that's the least inflated I've seen a bottle of any beer priced at KnB!

 

Their prices are all over the place. I did however pick up multiple bottles of Black Xantus at 14.99...

is this beer a sour or a barley wine?

 

Kind of a hybrid. It is sour, but thrre's quad, old ale, and barleywine, too.

I know!! Haha first thing I did was come on here to see how much I overpaid for it. For once, turns out I didn't. Now when I bought the parabola..............

 

You can still find this all over BevMo and TotalWine in Orange County.

 

So, who's had it and what do you think?

 

It's definitely complex. To me, it felt like it wasn't quite sure what it wanted to be. It had big notes of red wine, wood, a touch of tartness, a little of the dark fruit showing through. It's definitely worth trying (I think). The price is what's stopping me from buying one to sit on for a year
