Collage Trade Value

Order it from Brewforia..... no limits (that I know of.... it let me order 12)

$170 for a 12 pack of 12 oz beers though..... so it's pricey.

 

Supposedly 200bbl produced. Sold today at the brewpub with a 3-bottle limit. Price is $12 for a 12 oz. bottle. Many big cities are seeing a max of 20 cases. One online spot sold through two cases in the last half hour. And it's probably a REALLY good beer! It should trade for whatever people want to give for it.

I think the problem going 1:1 with KH is that everyone already knows King Henry is awesome (beyond awesome IMHO). But Collage just came out today and while we all know Deschutes and HotD are great breweries it's tough to tell if Collage will be as delicious as KH is. That being said I'm sure there is someone out there with a few extra bottles of KH that would really like to try a Collage and would do it 1:1, just wouldnt expect it to be the norm

 

And it's gone online...

 

So, if 200bbl is true thats about 66k 12oz bottles... I genuinely do not know about how much of a batch is kegged v bottled, but lets say a third gets kegged, thats still 44k bottles on the market. So, why are large distro areas only getting a handful of cases?

Is there more to this??

since the midwest is the only place where large-batch distributed releases go to die, i'm assuming this will be pretty easy to get at gas stations and corner markets.

66k bottles, > $10 per 12oz bottle. yeah, gonna be super limited and really hard to find...

 

That comes to about 1,800 cases (24/case), and divide that up evenly (which we know won't happen), but Deschutes distributes to 18 states and one province, which just under 100 cases per state. That's part of it.

 

Sounds to me like it's a much bigger production than Adam or Fred, at a significantly higher price point. I'm failing to see why this should be hard to track down.

 

Shit... I had a couple in my cart then bitched out of it due to shipping cost... What was I thinking?

Well, I guess I'm now ISO for KH so I can flip it to get a Collage, because I can see the trade threads now... sigh

 

Missed the Collage but picked up 6 Parabola. Leaving town this week so probably will miss it's arrival at most San Diego shops, and my chance to get only 1 or 2 bottles...for $114 out the door after shipping ($19/bottle), it beats the hell out of driving all over the place to find a bottle for a few bucks less. Thanks for the link pmoney!
