2007-2012 before I turned 21 it was alot of keystone and natty and extra gold. After 21 it was alot PBR, labbats, and IC light. Plus the occasional 6er of Sam Adams great lakes or dfh when I got money from my parents.

Didn't do much drinking in college at SDSU. If i did, it would be hard liquor.

When: graduated high school in '95.
    Where: Yokosuka Naval Base, Japan
What: Olde E, St. Ides, Mickey's, MGD, High Life and I hate to say this, Zima were the choices of debauchery.

Fun times. I still remember the days we'd have contests on who can finish a case of grenades in 2 hours.

When I was in college at UC Davis (a year ago) I drank mostly Sudwerk's (the local brewery) Marzen-- its still my favorite marzen/oktoberfest. Also homebrew. Tons and tons (or gallons I guess) of homebrew. Especially when I was in the practical brewing class... 35 gallons every two weeks. Mostly Cali Common outside of class.

Great topic! My freshman year of college was 1987 [University of Pittsburgh]. Stroh's 30 pack was $8.99 and the go-to slam dunk when doing a thorough cost/benefit analysis. We also drank the Beast, Golden Annie, and Coors Light (Coors had just come to PA in the mid-80's so everyone was gaga over it at the time). We didn't buy Iron City too much in college because in Pittsburgh it's priced the same as Bud, too expensive for college students in the 80's.

Side note: I sipped my first Guinness Extra Stout when I was 18 and hated it. I am glad I grew up.

CSU Chico 2003-2005 - SNPA almost exclusively, the other was always Corona... At that time it was based on the weather and quantity consumed. Start with SNPA then migrate to Corona the less coherent I was. Oh, and Jack Daniels.

Graduated in 2014. Started at UW-Whitewater where it was mostly Keystone with Milwaukee's Best and Miller High Life mixed in. Transferred to UW-Stevens Point and got a job at a liquor store with a great craft beer selection. Co-workers encouraged me to try some different craft brews and I fell in love. Now if somebody offers me Keystone, Beast, or High Life, even if its free I can't drink it although I loved drinking it when I did. Not for the taste, but for the outcome haha.

Mid 90's University of California at Riverside, Natural Light or whatever cheap malt liquor we felt like drinking. When we had money it was Budweiser and when we really had a lot of money it was Guinness Extra Stout, Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout, Redhook ESB or a local brewery in downtown Riverside that is no longer in business. 90% of the time it was malt liquor or Natty Light.

College, late 60s to early 70s, Michigan, and anything in a keg was crap, although Strohs was nice but more from the fact that I had my first sip of it at age 3. With some hunting we could find exotics like Meister Brau and Frankenmuth and acquire a certain air of sophistication. Our college town had a bar with Guinness on tap and Heineken in bottles but the pickens were few. Grad School at the University of Toronto opened a new universe. At the time, Canadian beers were more diverse and flavorful.

Used to drink a lot of Hoegaarden as an undergrad. Good price, good beer, seriously could not go wrong. Friends though I was fucking weird as hell because I wasn't pounding Bud Light or Keystone, but I'm cool with that.

Everyone drank The Beast. Special beers included Red Dog and Moosehead.

Sadly, my roommates and I spent our little money on malt liquor. 64 oz jugs of Olde English, St. Ides, Johnny Three Legs (it had a story about a three legged chicken on the inside label) St.Ide's, and Hurricane (89 cents for 22 ounces at Toco Giant)

Funny story- first under age beer I bought was a Guinness. Being of Irish descent, I thought I would have had a natural last for it. I could barely choke down the draught in a can I bought. It wasn't until years later that I developed a taste for it.

Kids today have it so much better than us

    When - '06-'10
    Where - Take a guess
What - Natty Light 30 packs for $13. If we had some extra money, Keystone Light bottles. If we had just seen our parents and got money off of them, Miller Lite.

    U. of Alabama in the 90's. Most everyone drank one of the 3 major light brands with the occasional Ice House or Southpaw Light.
I typically drank cider, Amber Bock, Heineken Dark, and Dos XX Amber. Once I discovered Pete's Wicked, Rogue Dead Guy, and Redhook ESB, they became my faves.
